Tall Mint - Mentha arvensis x aquatica x spicata = M. x smithiana
This is a three way cross between Corn Mint, Water Mint and Spear Mint. It can reach 2 to 3 feet in height and has exserted (much extended) stamens.

Flowers July to September or early October.
Rhizomatous perennial herb.
Widespread but occasional in Britain. It may be under recorded due to difficulty of identification.
Local and quite scarce or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire it was found in 2 of the 617 tetrads.
