Rutstroemia lindaviana

The fruit bodies consist of creamy brown, flat or convex discs, creamy exteriors and downy stalks which can range between quite short and very long. As they are found in boggy places, the stalk  length is probably governed by the need to raise the disc above any shallow, lying water. Up to 2 mm diameter.

Found in boggy places. They grow gregariously and always from blackened areas of their host. Found growing most frequently on dead stems and leaves of Common Reed, but occasionally also on Reed Sweet-grass and sedges.    

They fruit from spring until early autumn.
