Ischnus inquisitorius

Description

This species is sexually dimorphic, males and females look distinctly different. Females are easily recognised by the short but stout ovipositor. They have a red abdomen, white-ringed eyes and characteristic white markings on the scutellum. The white marks on the mid antennal segments are variable.
