Camarota curvipennis
A small dark-coloured fly that wraps its wings close to its abdomen giving it the appearance of a small red-headed beetle.

Various habitats including post-industrial and sand dunes.
May to September.
Uncommon. Records are concentrated along the south coast and east anglia.
The record of 14th September 2019 is the first for VC55.
