Angler's Curse - Caenis luctuosa
This is a small mayfly with three tails and milky wings. There are other similar species and detailed examination is necessary to determine the correct species. Images appearing in a red box are representative of the species, but whilst they are likely to correct, they have not been microscopically proven to be this species.
Rivers and lakes etc.
Late spring and summer.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
