Chrysotus gramineus
Description
2.5mm. Chrysotus are small, compact dolichopids with the typical green metallic bodies.
ID checklist (your specimen should have all of these features)
- front coxa with dark bristles at the apex
- femora black
- front and mid tibia yellow
- front and hind trochanters black
- 3rd antennal segment similar in width to 2nd
- front tibia with some hairs of similar width to the tibia
Habitat
Damp areas.
When to see it
Late May to September

Common and widespread.
