A footpath leads from the rear car park of the Pug & Greyhound pub on London Road, or via the footpath leading from the end of The Nook (also off London Road), nearby.

This site is managed for wildlife by the Great Glen Community Wildspace group. It includes a diversity of habitats, including a reed-bed, pond, wildflower meadows, hedges and mature trees. Paths are cut through the site to provide public access.

The reed-bad has been extended in recent years following the instigation of a rotational cutting cycle. This has helped to attract a diversity of both plants and animals associated with wetland habitats.
