Using the money raised from plastic carrier bag sales, we are grateful to the Tesco Bags of Help scheme for a grant to fund the development of our Wild Places list - the NatureSpot guide to some of the best sites to see wildlife in Leicestershire and Rutland. With this support we have been able to add 200 new Wild Places to our listings, including 115 new Wild places in Rutland, bringing the total to over 360. As part of this project we have been able to reinstate the Wild Places interactive map, added public rights of way to the maps since we know this has a major impact on where records come from. We have also been able to make design changes to the Wild Places pages including expanding the latest images listings and some other tweaks to improve our listings.

There are more improvements we have planned and with your support over time we will keep expanding our coverage.
