Parking at the Oakley Road Play Area allows a short walk to the wood. You can also look at the Black Brook on your way.

This very attractive wood is dominated by Oak and Ash and has a wonderful show of spring flowers. It holds a few very old Oak trees with great character.
The ground flora is rich and diverse and many of the species are ancient woodland indicators.
Lots of Sanicle, sheets of Wood Anemones and Bluebells with Wood Millet, Wood Melick, Great Woodrush, Wood Sorrel, Pignut, Yellow Archangel and Woodruff.
