The verge is located on a long straight section of Pickworth Road, just north of Pickworth village. The site begins at The Grange farm, and ends at the woods/the bend in the road. The nearest main road is the A1.
From the A1, take the signposted northeast road to Pickworth, then turn left onto Pickworth Road on the other side of the village.
There is no bus service to this area.

Designated a Local Wildlife Site in 2006, the road verge near The Grange in Pickworth stretches for 600 metres on the east side of the road and 520 metres on the west, and varies between 1 and 3 metres in width. The main habitat is mesotrophic grassland.
Recorded species include: Agrimony, Common Knapweed, Lady's Bedstraw, Field Scabious, Meadow Vetchling, Common Bird's-foot-trefoil, Burnet-saxifrage, Cowslip, Yellow-rattle, Greater Knapweed, Salad Burnet, Common Restharrow, and Bulbous Buttercup.
