Andrew is also compiling a butterfly atlas for Rutland. During the three-year period 2013-2015 he shall be mapping the distribution of butterflies in the county using MapMate software. The more data collected, the more successful the project will be. Local naturalists are therefore asked to email any notable butterfly records during this period to andrew.harrop@virgin.net for inclusion in the Atlas. Any sightings of rare species should preferably be supported by photographic evidence. Note all butterfly records submitted to NatureSpot will be forwarded at the year end.
