Getting There

The village is located just off the A1 so is easy to access.

By car, exit the A1 into Great Casterton, and follow the Old Great North Road through the village. The church is located on the right side of the road, shortly after The Crown pub. From Stamford, follow Casterton Road/Old Great North Road and the church will be on the left. Parking may be possible on the road. Alternative road-side parking can be found in more minor residential streets nearby, but please be mindful of residents.

Great Casterton is served by several bus services, given its proximity to Stamford. They are run by Callconnect (4R, 9), Centrebus North (9, 29) and Mark Bland Travel (182, 183, 184, 185). Details can be found on the following website:

Description

The church of St Peter and St Paul lies at the southern end of the small village of Great Casterton, two and a half miles north-west of Stamford. The churchyard is an open space with few trees, and the church itself is ironstone and dates mostly from the 13th century.
